The values and identity of Indonesian society have been altered by the wave of cultural globalization, particularly among the younger generation. A crisis of national identity has resulted from a change in values from local culture to global culture brought about by digital media's openness to global culture. The purpose of this study is to establish the idea of Global-Local Citizenship (Glocal Citizenship) as an adaptable paradigm in the contemporary era and to examine the mechanisms underlying the creation of identity crises amid cultural globalization. It uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a literature review of scientific literature and legislation related to citizenship. The results show that the identity crisis emerges through several stages, starting from exposure to global culture, superficial adaptation to foreign cultures, social pressure, to cultural competition that results in the loss of pride in national identity. As a solution, the concept of Glocal Citizenship emphasizes a balance between global awareness and national loyalty through the strengthening of citizenship education based on local values and digital cultural literacy. In conclusion, strengthening civic identity does not have to be contrary to globalization but can be achieved through the integration of universal values with national characteristics rooted in Pancasila, thereby creating citizens who are globally competitive without losing their national identity.
